Field Supervisor - Water/Mold Restoration

The Restoration Field Supervisor is a hands-on leadership position to direct and lead a team of technician and assistant first-responders on water, fire and/or mold property loss situations to help mitigate the damage in both residential and commercial structures. This role is responsible for positive customer interactions, performing techniques in water, mold and fire mitigation and microbial remediation.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Calling, Scheduling, and meeting with home or business owners to assess damage and determine the appropriate methods for remediation.
  • Supervise and ensure the proper removal of approved materials, and place the proper amount of equipment for the areas involved.
  • Knowledge of fast drying practices and techniques to get the materials dry as fast as possible.
  • Removal of baseboard, drywall, cabinets, counter top, flooring and other building materials as required by the damage.
  • Daily monitoring of jobs and follow up with clients.
  • Timely and accurate upload of daily monitor moisture readings, pictures and notes into the DASH database.
  • Input and update daily and weekly tracking of service calls and other tasks.
  • Documentation review in job tracking system.
  • Inventory tracking.
  • Weekly time reporting for all direct reports.
  • Regular and timely performance reviews for all direct reports.
  • Available for overtime and on call emergency situations.

Required Skills:

  • Strong work ethic and ability to coach and train direct reports.
  • Ability to assess the situation to properly set up equipment and tools according to UWRG and industry standards.
  • Ability to recognize and troubleshoot faulty equipment and account for all tools/equipment used during each job.
  • Make understanding the customer’s needs a priority while demonstrating empathy to the customer’s situation.
  • Understanding of local insurance carriers and policies, in order to assist customer inquiries.
  • Demonstrated ability to respond and follow up on new job leads and sell United Water Restoration services.
  • Must demonstrate a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and with a team.
  • Possess and maintain a good driving record and maintain vehicle cleanliness/mechanics.
  • Technically savvy with cell phone, tablet, computer, emailing and texting as regular and consistent communication is essential.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office suite and strong internet literacy.
  • Highly attentive to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Ability to meet and maintain all OSHA requirements and appropriately use Personal Protective Equipment.

Education and Experience:

  • Prior supervisory experience required.
  • Prior experience supervising teams in the trades or similar professions such as fire, police and/or military.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
  • Desired College degree or courses, or some advanced training in any field
  • Must be certified or can acquire within 6 months IIRC training and certification
  • Experience in water, mold and fire damage restoration, related industries or other technical function is desired.
  • Experience in a customer service environment is desired.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
