Job Summary:
The Property Manager oversees operations for assigned residential communities within a specific geographic region. This role is responsible for financial performance, physical site maintenance, compliance, and team supervision, all while fostering a safe and supportive living environment. As part of a multidisciplinary team, the Property Manager collaborates closely with residential services to support tenant stability and independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage financial performance including rent collection, budget preparation, and expense oversight.
- Supervise site staff including hiring, training, performance management, and compliance.
- Ensure properties meet safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards through regular inspections and adherence to preventive maintenance schedules.
- Monitor compliance with all relevant regulations, including HUD and LIHTC guidelines.
- Coordinate with support services to address tenant needs and reduce delinquencies.
- Assist with audits, management reviews, and contract/vendor management.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong communicator with active listening and relationship-building skills across all levels. Professional, ethical, and exercises sound judgment.
- Experienced in leading and motivating teams, with strong planning and multitasking skills. Committed to safety, accountability, and meeting deadlines in fast-paced settings.
- Analytical and effective decision-maker, self-motivated and adaptable, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and technical growth.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years residential property management experience.Knowledge of federal and state housing laws;
- Experience with HUD programs (including but not limited to Section 8, Section 202, PRAC 8ll, etc) and/or Low Income Housing Tax Credit required
- LIHTC and RAM certifications preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Onesite, WCMS).
- Valid VA drivers license and reliable vehicle required.
- Ability to successfully pass VSH insurance review.
- Ability to successfully pass a background check and other pre-employment screening.
Work Environment and Benefits:
- Full-time, exempt position with required availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call duties.
- Role requires mobility, extended periods of standing or sitting, and the ability to lift at least 10 lbs.
- Use of computer and communication tools is essential.
- Other duties as assigned by the Property Manager and/ or Senior Property Manager.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
