About the Role:
As a Sales Account Executive (officially designated Logistics Consultant), you will execute the full sales lifecycle, which includes pre-work, detailed discovery conversations, and informative meetings to identify the needs of prospective clients and act as a trusted advisor for their forwarding needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Seek out new clients and establish a book of business through prospecting and networking (cold calling, electronic media, seminars, trade shows, in-person presentations, etc.).
- Present company service offerings: Ocean Import/Export, Air Import/Export, Distribution & Warehousing, Trucking, Cargo Insurance, and Customs Brokerage.
- Meet monthly revenue quotas provided by Sales management.
- Collaborate with CRM Specialists to create a strong sales presence in the local market.
- Maintain communication with internal teams as well as overseas offices.
- Travel locally for client meetings and presentations.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a freight forwarding role, with a preference for those with experience in ocean and/or air services.
- Familiarity with CargoWise One ERP system is preferred.
- Entrepreneurial spirit, team player, and problem solver.
- High emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.
- Professional email and phone etiquette.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
- Bachelor’s Degree is highly preferred.
