We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing team in Queensbury, NY. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a leadership role and make a meaningful impact on resident care and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
As the ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) and help manage nursing operations to ensure the highest quality of care:

Leadership & Supervision:
- Assist with management responsibilities and oversee the quality of care provided.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of nursing staff.
- Foster effective communication and collaboration among all levels of staff.

Clinical Operations:
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and oversee infection control measures.
- Address residents' medical needs and maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Coordinate and direct the planning and implementation of nursing services.

Flexibility & Responsiveness:
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to address operational needs.
- Adapt to unpredictable scheduling requirements to meet facility needs.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
- 3+ years of experience in long-term care settings (required).
- 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
- 1+ year of staff education experience (preferred).
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs in a dynamic environment.
