We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounting Supervisor to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting principles, financial reporting, and transportation industry practices. This role includes overseeing daily accounting functions, leading a team of accountants, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accurate and timely execution of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities.
Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with GAAP and company policies.
Collaborate with management on budget development and forecasting.
Ensure the company maintains liquidity and meets financial obligations.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, tax requirements, and audit standards.
Promote a positive and productive team environment.
Prepare accurate financial statements and supporting documentation.
Recommend improvements to accounting systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency.
Prepare detailed financial analyses and ad-hoc reports as needed by senior management.

Qualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role in the logistics, freight forwarding, or transportation industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP).
Familiarity with ERP systems (preferred).
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
