We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our skilled nursing team in Canandaigua, NY. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of exceptional resident care.
Key Responsibilities
As the ADON, you will support the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) in managing nursing operations and ensuring high-quality care. Key responsibilities include:

Leadership & Supervision:
- Assist with nursing management responsibilities and support compliance efforts.
- Mentor and oversee nursing staff, fostering effective communication across all levels.
- Support the recruitment, hiring, and orientation of new staff.

Clinical Operations:
- Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and ensure effective infection control practices.
- Address residents' medical needs and maintain accurate medical records.
- Oversee the planning and implementation of nursing services.

Flexibility & Responsiveness:
- Provide 24/7 on-call support to address operational needs.
- Maintain flexibility with work schedules to ensure seamless operations.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
- 3+ years of experience in long-term care settings (required).
- 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
- 1+ year of staff education experience (preferred).
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Flexible and organized with the ability to adapt to changing needs.
