We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) - Brooklyn to join our team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a nursing professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to maintaining high-quality care and operational excellence. 

Key Responsibilities

As the ADON, your duties will include:

  • Leadership & Supervision:
    • Assist the Director of Nursing Services (DNS) with management responsibilities.
    • Oversee daily staffing processes and ensure effective communication across nursing teams.
    • Support the onboarding and orientation of new nursing staff.
  • Clinical Operations:
    • Conduct weekly wound/skin rounds and ensure effective infection control protocols.
    • Meet the medical needs of residents and maintain accurate, timely medical records.
    • Coordinate and direct the planning and implementation of nursing services.
  • Compliance & Quality Control:
    • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and facility policies.
    • Monitor and address issues related to documentation and staff performance.
  • Flexibility & Responsiveness:
    • Be available 24/7 on-call to address unpredictable needs.
    • Maintain flexibility with work schedules to meet operational demands.
Qualifications

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of NY (required).
  • 3+ years of experience in long-term care settings (required).
  • 2+ years of management experience (preferred).
  • 1+ year of staff education experience (preferred).
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and maintain flexibility in a dynamic environment.
