A boutique law firm in White Plains, New York, specializes in customized legal services in family law, including child custody, divorce, family offense, and support cases. We are looking for a skilled Attorney with extensive experience in family law to join our team. Responsibilities

  • Legal Counsel & Representation: Provide expert legal guidance and representation in areas of family law, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, property division, domestic violence, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Case Preparation: Conduct comprehensive legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare compelling legal arguments.
  • Court Appearances: Attend court hearings, trials, and negotiations, advocating effectively for clients' rights and interests.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to manage cases smoothly and ensure timely resolution.
  • Client Communication: Engage empathetically and professionally with clients, maintaining confidentiality and demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
  • Legal Updates: Stay current with developments in family law, including statutory changes and new legal precedents, to provide informed advice to clients.
Requirements

  • Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensure: Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in family law, focusing on complex cases, with extensive courtroom experience.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of family law statutes and regulations
    • Exceptional research, writing, and analytical skills
    • Excellent oral advocacy and negotiation abilities
    • Proven ability to handle high caseloads and prioritize tasks
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Compassionate, empathetic approach towards clients

Compensation: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
