We are a leading freight forwarding company seeking an organized and detail-oriented Entry Writer to join our team in Springfield, NJ. As an Entry Writer, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely customs clearance for our clients' shipments.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and submit customs entries, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other required documents
- Verify and validate shipment details, including classification, valuation, and country of origin
- Ensure compliance with relevant customs regulations and laws
- Communicate with clients, carriers, and customs brokers to resolve any issues or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including entry logs and shipment tracking
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards, with a focus on timely customs clearance
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in freight forwarding, customs brokerage, or a related field
- Knowledge of customs regulations, including HTS classification and valuation
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certified Customs Specialist (CCS) or Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation
- Experience with customs clearance software, such as ABI or ACS
- Familiarity with freight forwarding software, such as CargoWise or Logitude

Compensation: $50.00 - $70.00 per hour
